You have to love fall light.
The front of the chapel was quite a bit darker than the rest of the building, so I took a single frame of the building and processed it in the computer twice - once for the portion of the chapel catching the light and a second time for the portion in shadow. I then composited the two images.
The result is that nothing in the image has been moved or deleted, but two different exposures have been laid on top of each other to reduce the contrast between highlight and shadow.
